The SureSmile Difference

Here’s why Dr. Boscia and his team recommend SureSmile at New Creation Dental Care:

The Latest Technology

SureSmile Clear Aligners use the newest aligner technology to achieve the best results possible.

While other clear aligners still use technology and algorithms based on movements made by traditional braces, SureSmile is the only aligner whose technology is based on how aligners move teeth, which is different from traditional braces. This allows our team to help get you results faster and more comfortably.

The Least Invasive Option

Clear aligners are a convenient and cosmetically beneficial option for straightening teeth without invasive wires, brackets, or braces.

Most SureSmile cases can be completed in less time than traditional braces without the accompanying discomfort and inconvenience, producing the same confidence-boosting results.

The Most Effective Results

Do-it-yourself and at-home aligners appear cheaper upfront, but using an aligner without a dental professional means skipping steps to perfect your alignment and fit.

Our team will ensure your aligner fits appropriately, creating space for teeth movement and adding attachments that allow for the best teeth rotation.

FAQS

  • What are SureSmile Clear Aligners?

Just one of the many clear aligners offered at New Creation Dental Care, SureSmile Clear Aligners are designed to straighten teeth and address various dental misalignments without the use of traditional braces. Check out some of our favorite facts about SureSmile Clear Aligners:

Transparent and Discreet: SureSmile aligners are made of clear, smooth plastic, making them less noticeable than traditional metal braces. This makes them an appealing option for adults and teens concerned about the aesthetic aspect of orthodontic treatment.

Get a Customized Treatment Plan: The treatment starts with a dental professional taking digital scans or impressions of your teeth. These scans are used to create a 3D model of the patient’s mouth, allowing the dental professional to plan the precise movement of each tooth.

Progressive Aligners to Achieve Results: Based on the customized treatment plan, a series of aligners are created, with each set making slight adjustments to the position of the teeth. Typically, a patient will wear each set for one to two weeks before moving on to the next set.

Comfortable and Removable: Unlike traditional braces, patients find SureSmile aligners more comfortable since there are no metal brackets or wires. SureSmile aligners can also be removed for eating, brushing, and flossing. This means there are no dietary restrictions, and maintaining oral hygiene is more straightforward.

  • How does SureSmile work?
SureSmile Clear Aligners are custom-made, transparent trays designed to shift teeth into desired positions incrementally. A series of aligners is created using 3D models of a patient’s mouth. Worn consecutively, each aligner set gradually moves teeth, providing a discreet alternative to traditional braces. Regular dental check-ups will make sure the process is moving effectively and efficiently.
  • Who can use SureSmile?
Most of our SureSmile cases are adults, due to the need for all permanent teeth to be in place. Children and teens may benefit from checking out My Forever Smile as an alternative option that also offers teeth straightening that’s faster and less invasive than traditional braces.
  • How does SureSmile technology work?

SureSmile Clear Aligners use the latest in aligner technology, relying on the unique teeth movement predictions produced by clear aligners rather than traditional braces, like some other aligner systems. Because of this, our team is able to better predict the future movements of your teeth and fit your SureSmile aligner accordingly.

If you’re considering SureSmile, we’d love to get in touch with you and set up a consultation with our team. We’ll evaluate your mouth and see how this treatment can benefit you. Our goal is always to provide you with your dream smile in the shortest amount of time with the system that fits your needs best.

  • What is the process for using SureSmile?

The SureSmile process is simple and candidates can get started the same day of their consultation!

We’ll start by taking digital photos of your mouth—no gooey impressions here! Then we’ll diagnose your case by looking at your bite and alignment to see how SureSmile can help.

When we have a diagnosis we’ll send your information to the SureSmile team to get the alignment just right. Within a few weeks, we’ll receive your clear aligners and we’ll bring you back in to get them fitted and give you any instructions you’ll need.

Patients usually come back every 8 weeks for check-ups, but appointments are normally quick and painless throughout the process.

  • How long will my SureSmile process take?

Every SureSmile case is unique because every patient’s mouth and smile are unique!

At New Creation Dental Care, we have three levels of SureSmile cases. Depending on your needs, these levels determine the predicted amount of time your case will take:

    Limited Cases: 3–6 months

    Moderate Cases: 9–15 months

    Comprehensive Cases: 15+ months

Please keep in mind that your diagnosis determines your case level—you may need more or fewer aligners than you initially thought.

However, our team is ready to do whatever we can to make the process run smoothly and quickly and get you your dream smile!

  • What is the cost of SureSmile?

SureSmile cases are priced based on the level of the case and the diagnosis, with discounts and in-office financing always available!

    • Limited Cases: starting at $2500
    • Moderate Cases: starting at $4500
    • Comprehensive Cases: starting at $6500

Please keep in mind that your diagnosis determines your case level—you may need more or fewer aligners than you initially thought.

However, our team is ready to do whatever we can to make the process run smoothly and quickly and get you your dream smile!

In-office financing is available; many insurance plans also cover at least part of the cost. Plus, some patients can qualify for as much as 10% off SureSmile. If you start treatment the day of your consultation, we’ll take 5% off. And those who pay the entire cost on the first day of treatment receive a 5% discount.

  • How often should I wear my aligners?
Aligners should be worn for 22–23 hours daily, removed only for eating, drinking (except water), brushing, and flossing. Consistent wear ensures effective teeth movement and efficient treatment timelines. Always follow your dentist’s specific recommendations for optimal results.
  • How do I care for and clean my aligners?
Rinse aligners with lukewarm water after removal. Use a soft-bristled toothbrush with mild soap to gently clean them. Avoid using toothpaste or hot water, as they can be abrasive or warp the aligners. Store in your provided case when your aligners aren’t being worn. Regular cleaning prevents plaque buildup and keeps the aligners transparent.
  • What happens if I lose or damage an aligner?
If an aligner is lost or damaged, contact your dentist immediately. They may advise wearing a previous set or moving to the next one. Always avoid delaying treatment, as this can affect your progress. And always store aligners in their case when not in use to minimize potential loss or damage.
  • Why would I use SureSmile over other clear aligners?

While all clear aligners are comfort-focused and cosmetically beneficial, our New Creation Dental Care team recommends SureSmile above all other aligners due to their use of the latest in aligner technology to produce the best results possible for your smile.

Additionally, while it may seem more cost-efficient to check out an at-home clear aligner system, a lot of times, these systems don’t produce the best results due to the lack of professional dental care on the front end of the process.

Our team ensures that your aligner fit accounts for any future teeth movement and prepares your mouth for the aligner with any necessary attachments, allowing your system to rotate teeth smoothly. Without these preparations, we’ve found that many aligner cases don’t produce great results.

We aim to get you the smile you’ve always dreamed about, starting with proper dental care up-front with a clear aligner!

  • Do you also offer ClearCorrect and Invisalign?

Yes, we’re also ClearCorrect and Invisalign providers. To learn about all of our orthodontic treatment options, see our orthodontics page.

  • Will I need retainers after my SureSmile Aligner treatment?
After completing SureSmile Aligner treatment, retainers are typically required to maintain teeth position. Retainers prevent teeth from naturally shifting back. It’s crucial to wear them as prescribed by your dental professional to ensure long-lasting results and protect your orthodontic investment. Regular check-ups will monitor retainer fit and effectiveness.
  • Are there any side effects or discomfort associated with wearing SureSmile Aligners?
SureSmile Aligners, like other clear aligners, may cause initial discomfort or pressure when adjusting to a new set. Some users report minor speech changes or increased salivation initially. Rarely, there might be irritation to the gums or cheeks. Over time, most users get used to wearing their aligners, and discomfort typically diminishes. We’re always available to answer your questions and address concerns at New Creation Dental Care!
  • Do I need to visit the dentist frequently while using SureSmile Aligners?
While using SureSmile Aligners, periodic check-ups with your dentist are essential to monitor progress. Typically, visits occur every eight weeks, sometimes less often, depending on the patient’s treatment plan. These appointments ensure teeth are moving as planned and allow you to receive subsequent aligner sets. Regular visits help achieve optimal results and address any concerns right away.
  • What do I do if I experience discomfort or pain using the aligners?
If experiencing discomfort or pain with aligners, ensure your aligner is fitting properly. Mild initial discomfort is common but should ease up within a few days. You can also rinse with warm salt water or take over-the-counter pain relievers, but if you’re in persistent pain, contact us immediately.
  • Can I eat and drink while wearing the aligners?
Aligners should be removed when eating or drinking anything besides water. Consuming foods or colored beverages can damage, stain, or warp the aligners. After eating, brush your teeth before reinserting aligners to prevent trapping food particles, which can lead to cavities or gum issues. Always follow your dental professional’s instructions.
